My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Ghost is a stunning boy who is looking for a home. He is currently with our partner rescue in Louisiana and can come to NJ if we find a foster or adopter.  We do offer trail adoptions to  approved adopters.

Ghost is a beautiful husky mix who is d ad to Greg and Greta.  T his guy was clearly someone's pet. He acts very comfortable around people and some would say he is Mr. Confidence. He's got some macho behavior but is overall friendly. He was dumped with 9 others after someone was trying to sell them on Craigslist. He is doing well so far and learning his limitations. He tried digging under a fence, was corrected and now has not tried again. Huskies... He is just like a mini husky with less of a double coat. It's silky and soft. We are told Husky and chihuahua but we're not sure if that applies to Ghost or his offspring. He is a very sweet boy. He seems to know some basic commands as well and is treat motivated. He will require a yard with at least a 6 foot fence.

Ghost is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. He tested positive for heartworm and has started treatment. We are looking for a foster to complete his treatment here in NJ with 2 visits to our vet at the Barnegat Animal Clinic.     His    adoption fee is $450.

Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through, they deserve a loving, committed home.

Additional adoption info

We require an application. After reviewing the application, your home sounds suitable for the personality of the animal you are looking for, then a home check and a meeting is set up. For our rescue animals an adoption donation is required. All our rescue animals are up to date on shots, heartworm tested or on preventative, dewormed frontlined and have a microchip.

More about this rescue

Wag On Inn Rescue, A NJ recognized 501(C)3 organization, located in Freehold, NJ, is a small group of dedicated volunteers, trying to rehome dogs and cats. We have a variety of animals looking for their forever home. The animals are worked with individually to be socialized with other animals and with people. Some of the dogs are obedience trained and housebroken. Special care is also taken in working with animals on basic house manners. We have two types of ways we help the animals. One is our rescue program, where we pull animals from shelters and they stay with us until adopted, we also have a "referal program" where we help owners of pets try to find them new homes. with this program, the pets stay with their owners until a new home is found, and adopted from the owner.
