My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Apollo

Estimated to be just under a year old, Apollo is a stunning merle boy with a heart just as beautiful as his looks.

Apollo can be slightly timid when first meeting new people, but once he realizes he’s safe, he quickly turns into a happy-go-lucky, affectionate pup full of fun young-dog energy. He warms up quickly and loves attention, playtime, and being part of the action.

Apollo’s past wasn’t kind—he was dumped from a car on a back road on a freezing cold day and left behind. Despite that heartbreaking start, Apollo remains trusting, loving, and eager to connect with people.

He’s still young and would do best in a home ready to continue training, provide structure, and embrace puppy energy. With patience and consistency, Apollo will make an incredible companion.

If you’re looking for a resilient, sweet, and gorgeous young dog ready for a fresh start, Apollo is your guy.

Please note: We cannot guarantee breed or breed mix. Our knowledge is based on limited background information or what may have been provided by a previous owner.

A change in environment may affect behavior; therefore, we cannot guarantee personality traits, temperament, or preferences.

All of our dogs are fully vetted, including: spay/neuter, age-appropriate vaccinations, rabies, microchipping, Heartworm and Lyme testing, deworming, flea/tick treatment, and Heartworm prevention. Any additional medical care needed is also provided.

Foster-to-adopt dogs live with you while receiving any remaining care. Once all vetting is completed, the adoption is finalized.

Our adoption fee includes a 6-week group obedience class (a $125 value).

If adopting an underage puppy, we cover the cost of spay/neuter at 6 months of age.

Paws-in-Prison dogs will not be ready for adoption until they complete their training. Apply now for your highly trained Prison Dog!

Our Founder & President
" I was born to be a voice for the voiceless! This is deep rooted in my soul. From an incredibly young age, I have been their voice and continue to be heard"

Our founder and president, Judy Troyer, is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer. She uses positive reinforcement techniques, for our rescues training and rehabilitation.
