Their adoption process

We'll talk to you and learn as much as we can before you make the trip out to see any of the dogs.

Adoption steps

  1. Interview
    1. We ask questions about your pet experience, work schedule and your home & yard layout. We want to make sure it's a good potential fit.
  2. Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
    1. We love for you to come & meet the pet in person. If you have a pet, we ask that you bring them to see how they interact.
  3. Meet the Pet
    1. See how the pet reacts to you and interacts with you. This will give you an opportunity to see if this is the right pet for you.
  4. Submit Application
    1. Complete our application which includes past pet experience and veterinarian information.
  5. Approve Application
    1. We review the application with you and answer any questions.
  6. Sign Adoption Contract
    1. Complete the Adoption Contract.
  7. Pay Fee
    1. Pay the agreed upon fee and then take your new family member home.

More about this rescue

Llano Animal Rescue began in 2018 in order to save dogs. We love all animals, but at this time, we only handle dogs. We typically will acquire our dogs from the Llano city shelter and will work with them to make sure they're healthy and ready to be adopted.
