A 4-year-old, 16 lb Cairn Terrier/Chihuahua mix who came from a hoarding situation and is now looking for a calm, patient home to help him feel safe again.

Pinecone is a shy, gentle little guy who truly wants to trust — he just hasn’t had the chance yet. With kindness and a quiet environment, his sweet personality begins to shine through.

He’s now at the shelter and hoping someone will give him the soft landing he’s never had. 💛

Interview

A Wags 2 Wishes Adoption Specialist will contact you by email for any information that needs clarification. Check spam folder!

3.
Meet the Pet

Schedule a meet and greet with the adoptive dog and your family at our rescue center in Plainfield.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If all approve, sign contracts and pay adoption fee Adoption Fees are: $200.00-$500.00 (subject to change without notice)

Wags 2 Wishes Animal Rescue's mission is to rescue abused, abandoned and forgotten animals in Illinois and surrounding states that are facing euthanasia and provide a loving and secure atmosphere for the animals transition in our foster home based program. The animals are given time to transition from lives of hardship and become cherished members of their foster family and eventually their forever home.
