Richy is a handsome little gentleman who we rescued after he and a group of small dogs were dumped in an orchard. All the dogs were trapped and brought to our partner rescue's facility and then we offered to bring Richy up to help him find a loving home.
- Approximately 1-2 year old and 27 pounds but could stand to lose a pound or two
- We took our best guess at Border Collie/Chihuahua mix. Richy is a terrific size! He's a petite boy.
- Lower/medium energy level. Richy would likely appreciate a calmer home. He can be somewhat timid but is very sweet and wants love.
- Always wagging his tail
- Has been good with other dogs. Richy was rescued with 7 other dogs and one of the male dogs really picked on him. Richy would take it and go belly up. He has quite a few scars on his head from the other dog unfortunately. We would love to find Richy a home with another nice female dog in his future home.
- Walks on leash nicely
- Goes in the crate willingly and seems comfortable in there
- Holds his potty readily when crated
- Tested well with the cat in his foster home. He was polite and gave the cat space.
Richy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Portland, Milwaukie or Tualatin.

Interview
We give you a call over the phone. If we think you and the dog could be a good match we provide you with the foster home's contact info.

Meet the Pet
Call the foster home and set up a time to meet the dog you're interested in.
4.
Home Check
If you like the dog and want to finalize the adoption, we would drop the dog off at your home during a home visit.
5.
Sign Adoption Contract
We will email or provide you a physical copy of the adoption contract to complete when you meet the dog.
