My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Emmy!

Emmy is a 5-month-old Lab, Hound, and Beagle mix with a very sweet, gentle personality. She has a low-energy, easygoing nature, making her a great fit for almost any family.

Emmy loves kids, cats, and other dogs, and she has done well around children. She currently weighs about 25 pounds and is expected to grow into a wonderful family-sized companion.

She is affectionate, friendly, and loves belly rubs. Emmy was just picked up from the shelter, so she is likely not fully housebroken yet, but she is young and learning quickly. We will continue to learn more about her.

Emmy will be arriving in New Jersey on 12/21.   If you are looking for a sweet, gentle, and loving puppy who does well with kids and other pets, Emmy may be the perfect addition to your family.

More about this rescue

Peace4paws is a 501 (c) 3 non profit public charity centered in Northern New Jersey. Through our foster home system, we are able to support the rehoming and adoption of dogs from kill shelters as well as facilities of research and related fields. Founded in 2007, our initial mission focused on supporting sanctuary and forever homes for animals retired from use in research and related fields. In the past few years we have broadened our scope of rescue. We continue to help our own retired research animals and independent sanctuaries but also save shelter dogs. We are able to do this work through the efforts of our volunteer network and generous donors. Please see our website or facebook page "Peace4Paws" to meet our adoptable dogs, success stories or volunteer opportunities. We organize fundraising events centered around yoga, music, health, or animal friendly activities. We are also involved with student outreach and education. We would love to work with you.
