Meet the Pet
This helps Poodle and Pooch Rescue with pet care costs.
Hi! My name is Chickie, but I'm actually a Chihuahua! I'm 9 months old and I weigh only 6 lbs. I'm cuddly, clever, communicative, and curious. At the moment, I'm still a bit shy, but with the right family who loves me I'll blossom.
Favorite Things: This playful pup loves toys: the more, the merrier! She's also very kissy and snuggly.
Training & Manners: Chickie is a little lady! She is housetrained if let out frequently. She walks well on a leash, sleeps in a dog bed at night, and generally has good basic manners. She is very timid and will occasionally bark at other people on walks.
Health & Care: Chickie is spayed, heartworm negative and up-to-date on vaccinations. She will just need monthly flea and heart preventatives, like any dog. She won't need much grooming, either: just baths and nail trims.
Other Animals: Chickie does well with other small dogs. She has not been observed around cats, but her foster doesn't think she'd be the best fit for a home with feline friends.
Children: Although she's very gentle, this shy sweetheart would do best in a home without children.
Ideal Home: Chickie doesn't need much: just a family who loves her, whether they live in an apartment, condo, or single-family home.
Overall: Chickie will make a wonderful, loyal, constant companion for someone who is ready for a lot of kisses and playtime.
Is Chickie the chica you've been looking for? Then visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption application. If it seems like it could be a good match, her foster family will reach out with more information. Her adoption donation is $500.
