My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Charles Chance; approximate DOB: 12/10/2021—better known as Sir Charles Chance, Mayor of Whisker Street. For many years, this handsome tabby ruled his little corner of the world as a beloved colony cat outside a Circle K. The volunteers who fed him daily were charmed by his gentle meows, soft purrs, and the way he always asked—politely but insistently—for pets. It didn't take long for everyone to realize that this sweet boy deserved more than outdoor life could offer. So with love and hope, he was brought indoors to begin his next chapter. Sir Charles is a gentle soul who adores head scratches and being close to his humans, yet still appreciates his quiet time. You'll often find him perched by a window, watching birds and soaking in the calm of nature as if he's studying his kingdom from afar. Now that he's safe and comfortable, he's beginning to discover toys—something that once seemed completely foreign to him. Seeing him learn to play has been a heart-warming reminder of how far he's come. If you're looking for a loyal, soft-spoken companion with a noble heart and a story of resilience, Sir Charles Chance is ready to share his peaceful charm with a forever family. Sociable with cats: Likes with proper introduction Sociable with dogs: Unknown but optimistic (has not met a dog) Sociable with kids over 12| Health information: All cats and kittens are spayed and neutered, preventatively dewormed, and microchipped. In addition, they are FeLV/FIV tested and vaccinated as appropriate by age. | Interested in adopting? Additional adoption info

Some of our "ready to adopt" felines are located at one of our Arizona PetSmart locations. https://www.savingonelife.org/adopt/locations/

We also have a small satellite operation in San Diego with adoption events on select Saturdays at the PetSmart Escondido store.

We highly recommend applying in advance in order to increase your opportunity at adopting the kitty you are interested in. Applications are processed in the order they were received. If you have questions, please email adoptions@savingonelife.org.

More about this rescue

Saving One Life is a completely foster based, volunteer run, never kill rescue. Our motto is that although we can't save the world, it makes a world of difference to the ones we do save.

If you find a litter of kittens or your cat accidentally got pregnant - please contact us if you are able to foster them at intake@savingonelife.org. We cannot take in more animals without foster homes. All supplies and vet care will be taken care of - all you have to do is open your home and heart to them until they can find homes of their own!

All of our adoptable animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, tested for felv/fiv (Cats), dewormed, and microchipped. Adoption fees range depending on the animal's age and breed. All adoption fees assist other animals in our care - we do not have any paid employees. We are a completely never kill group that provides sanctuary to any "unadoptable" animals that come into our care including hospice care.
