Hazel came to us as a stray on 12/10/25, and we think she’s about 2 years old. She’s friendly, fun, and packed full of playful energy! Hazel loves to interact and make friends—sometimes a little too enthusiastically. On occasion, she forgets that fingers are not chew toys 😄 but the good news is she listens well when corrected and is eager to please.
This smart girl already knows how to sit and shake, and she’s always ready to show off her skills for attention (or treats!). Hazel is the kind of dog who will keep you laughing, active, and smiling every single day.

Our office is open Monday- Friday 8:30-4:30 and Saturdays from 10:00-2:00. Our kennels are closed on Mondays. The kennels are open Tuesday- Friday 11:00-4:15, Saturdays we open 10:00-1:45.

Did you know... The Richland County Dog Warden's Office & Adoption Center is self-funded and does not receive any tax paying dollars. Our revenue comes from dog license fees, adoptions, impound fees, and YOUR donations. You can send Donations by check or money order to the shelter: 810 N. Home Rd. Mansfield, Ohio 44906.
The shelter always accepts cash donations. However, there are always other things we need too. You can call it a wish list: Bleach, laundry detergent, Capstar flea tablets, Advantage flea drops, pet shampoo,Paper Towels, and sturdy collars and leashes for our dogs here at the facility and those going on transport to rescue.
