Meet Jake! Jake is a 7 year old male who recently had quite a change in his world, and his original family is hoping to find him a loving home.
One of Jake's owners passed away not long ago, and the other member of the family works long hours and leaves Jake alone for long periods of time. They attempted to re-home him, but unfortunately after just 5 days, the family they trusted to take care of him ended up dumping him. They took him to a stranger's driveway, left him there with food, and took off in the middle of the night leaving him scared and confused. Luckily, he remained safe until he was brought to our shelter. His original family was devastated to find out that Jake was betrayed in this manner, and asked us to help them in finding him a new family who would never even consider something like this. Here is what his family said:
DOB 7/4/2018
Jake is happy typical high energy 7 year old intact male Chocolate lab. He has been an outdoors dog all his life therefore he is not house trained. He walks nicely on a leash and knows basic sit and stay commands. He loves to dig and chew things. He is generally a quiet dog but will bark if a vehicle pulls up. Has been good with other dogs and cats that he's been around.
If you think you would like to meet Jake and make him a member of your family, please reach out to us!
