My story

Mocha is an adorable little girl with a big personality and an even bigger voice - she’ll always make sure you know exactly what she wants. If she needs attention, a snack, or simply believes you should be
focusing on her instead of anything else, she isn’t shy about telling you.

Despite her sassy side, Mocha is an absolute cuddle bug. She loves curling up beside you and will happily burrow under the blankets to snooze in warm, cozy comfort. Playtime is another one of her specialties; she adores wrestling with her
siblings and can easily hold her own against her rambunctious brothers. Sweet, expressive, and full of charm, Mocha will make a wonderfully loving companion for anyone lucky enough to adopt her.

1.
Submit Application

Before submitting an application, we ask that you review the information on cat care and our policies here: https://www.vokra.ca/adopt

2.
Interview

Our adoption counsellors focus on educating our adopters on cat care. Once approved, they use a matching process to find your perfect pet.

3.
Meet the Pet

When you find a kitty you like, you will arrange an appointment with the foster home - where the kitty feels most comfortable and confident.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

Our adoptions contract process includes reviewing critical cat care information and providing contacts for post-adoption advice.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Woo hoo! You will be expected to take the kitty to a free post-adoption vet check within 2 weeks, and follow up on any required vet care.

Additional adoption info

Each year more than 1,400 cats and kittens are adopted through VOKRA. We're always here after the adoption if you need ongoing advice.

Response times can vary, depending on the time of year and available volunteer resources. Applications and help requests for non-emergency issues will usually receive a response in 1-3 days.
