My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tharp is at our shelter. Please submit an application from our website or just come in to meet him during open hours!

Scroll through the photos to see his cute video content!

Tharp was found outdoors in rural Kentucky, hanging around a community for a few days and being fed and looked after by some people there. He was brought to one of our shelter partners down there, and they did not receive any calls about anyone looking for him. We are not sure how far he traveled from home, and but we are grateful for the kindness of strangers, and grateful that Tharp is safe with us now. We couldn't resist his sweet face when we saw his picture, and it is even better in person especially when you first witness his goofy grin! He got a bath with us and his coat is fluffy and shiny- he is so handsome!

As you can see from his photos and videos, Tharp hasn't let his rough start get him down. His bushy tail never stops wagging and he leans his full body in for affection and hugs from everyone he meets.

At a year old, Tharp is just learning the basics of life as a pet. The great thing is he's smart, eager to please, and treat motivated, making him so easy to train! Tharp is a great medium size too, making him a perfect fit for most anyone.

This sweetest boy is ready for a fresh start and a forever home where he can keep learning, playing, and soaking up all the love he’s missed. If you’re looking for a cheerful, affectionate companion who’s grateful for every kindness, Tharp can’t wait to start his next chapter by your side!

Tharp’s adoption fee is $300. This animal is neutered, up to date on core vaccines, and Heartworm negative.
