Miss Playa Blanca is an inquisitive, curious, loving little lady. She hasn’t had a whole lot of human interaction and she is so interested in everything we do. When we sit with her quietly, she is grateful because she can explore all our parts. She sniffs our hands, looks deep into our eyes, then settles on resting her head in our laps. Playa Blanca is a diamond in the ruff, meaning she is ready to be molded into the most beautiful gem in the desert southwest! She is around 40 pounds and around 2 years old. Playa is the girl who could!

Additional adoption info

We ask for home photos from adopters coming from a distance (home visit). We adopt locally and to out of staters. We aren't currently part of a transport system so applicants need to come to Desert Haven Animal Rescue (Truth or Consequences, NM) to meet their pet. We can schedule meetings flexibly, any day of the week, including weekends.

Drop-in hours are Tuesdays from 9-4 at Desert Haven Animal Rescue located at 15576 Highway 187 Williamsburg NM. Appointments can be made any day of the week. Call/text us at 575-740-0643 to schedule an appointment. We are located 2.5 miles south of Williamsburg NM on highway 187. Our pets will be at Jones Street Secondhand at 303 Jones St in TorC, NM from Noon-1:30 every Saturday.

Desert Haven Animal rescue is a No-Kill animal rescue located in Sierra County NM. We operate under Sierra County Humane Society and are a 501 (c)(3). We have a 5 acre property that houses our animals and an RV park where work campers can live for free in exchange for caring for our animals.
