MY RESCUE STORY
I am one of seven puppies rescued from a mother dog who had been neglected and repeatedly bred over a long time. I was very small and scared at first, but now I’m safe, healthy, and ready to find a loving home.
MY HEALTH
MY PERSONALITY
Hi! I’m the calmest and sweetest of my littermates, and I hardly ever bark. I’m super friendly with people and would shine with a little home training. I’m still learning how to walk perfectly on a leash, and I look just like a little Beagle!
MY SOCIAL SKILLS
· With People: I’m a little shy at first, but I will take treats. I only allow petting once I feel more comfortable. You can lift me by placing an arm under my belly.
· With Dogs: I’m very friendly and will approach not only dogs I know but also unfamiliar dogs to greet them and invite them to play. I’m generally kind toward dogs of a similar size to me, and I usually avoid conflict even if another dog tries to provoke me.
· With Cats: I have no observed reactions to cats.
ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY
I enjoy outdoor activities with a normal energy level, but I rest calmly afterward.
TRAINING & HABITS
I have limited walking experience, and if something scares me, I tend to flatten myself to the ground. I don’t guard my food from people or other dogs. I may bark at unfamiliar people. I’m calm when placed in a kennel and mostly go potty outside.
MY IDEAL HOME
My ideal home would be a patient and loving environment where I can take my time to adjust, especially during my first week. I’d love a family or person who enjoys gentle affection, can help me with leash training, and appreciates my calm, sweet, and slightly shy personality. A home that gives me love, consistency, and a little space to grow confident would be perfect!
SPECIAL NOTES
I’m a Level 3 rescue dog and a little shy at first, so I need about a week to adjust to a new home. I’m the calmest and sweetest among my littermates and hardly ever bark. I’m very friendly with people and would do really well with some home training. I still need a little practice walking on a leash, and I look almost exactly like a Beagle! I’m ready to find a loving home.
