My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Max is a 5-year-old 50 lb pup with plenty of energy and a big heart. He loves to play, seeks attention from his people, and is always up for fun with other dogs. While he can be a little distracted at times, he’s learning quickly—working on sit, stay, and kennel training—and he already walks nicely on a leash.

This smart boy is crate trained, quiet in his kennel, and gentle with his toys (no destruction here!). Max can be shy when meeting new people, but once he’s introduced, his sweet and playful nature shines through.

He seems to be more play-motivated than food-motivated, which makes him a great fit for an active home that loves to interact and engage. We’re not sure yet how he does with kids or cats, but he’s been good with other dogs.
If you’re looking for a fun-loving companion who just needs a little guidance to reach his full potential, Max could be your perfect match!

Max is located in Houston, Tx and can be transported to most states for $300.00

More about this rescue

Hi, I am the founder of Waiting Under the Willow Foundation, also known as W.U.W.F. We work hard at trying to find homes for dogs that are homeless or scheduled to be euthanized at Harris County Animal Shelter. There are so many dog out there that are so loving and deserving of a good home. My hopes is that more people will open their hearts and homes to some of these sweet dogs❤️. Rescue dogs make the best pets!!!
