Meet Sycamore!
Sycamore is a 5-year-old Jack Russell Terrier with a bright mind, a playful spirit, and a heart ready to grow. At 15 lbs, this energetic little guy is a true JRT—full of curiosity, cleverness, and a zest for life.
A former breeder dog, Sycamore has made incredible progress in just a few weeks of fostering. What was once a shy dog who wouldn’t accept touch is now happily letting himself be petted (with a little patience) and even carried. He’s eager to be part of the action, loves to play, and is highly motivated by food—treats are the key to his heart and his learning!
Sycamore is crate trained, sleeps quietly through the night, and is almost fully house trained. He enjoys walks and exploring the outdoors, though new sights and sounds can sometimes startle him. A patient family who understands his need for gentle guidance will help him continue building confidence.
He thrives with other dogs and would especially love a home with a confident canine companion to show him the ropes. A yard where he can safely run and burn off energy would be ideal.
If you’re looking for a smart, food-loving, and affectionate companion who will blossom with patience and love, Sycamore is ready to meet his forever family!
ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at WaldosRescue.org and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog. We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.
Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States and Korea.
