Meet Showgirl, a true star in every sense. Found giving birth in the parking lot at A New Leash on Life, Showgirl has since proven she’s not only a devoted mama—but also a cat who loves attention.

She’s affectionate, playful, and still very youthful at heart. Showgirl enjoys interactive play, following her people around, and soaking up all the love she can get. She’s ready to leave her mom era behind and step into a forever home where she can be spoiled, adored, and right in the spotlight.

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
