My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sammy the Sweetheart 🖤🤍

Sammy is a big, handsome tuxedo boy with an even bigger heart! This gentle giant is as loving as they come and has a soft spot for cuddles—especially with the older kittens, who he adores snuggling up with. Despite his size, Sammy is all sweetness and affection, always ready to share warmth, love, and cozy companionship. If you’re looking for a kind, cuddly soul to fill your home with love, Sammy the Sweetheart is your guy. 🐾

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
