Dow!
If you are looking for a dog who embodies everything that we love the most about dogs, then you don't have to look any futher.
Sweet, playful and goofy with the biggest heart and an aura of absolute happiness all the time.
Despite Dow's chronic joy and a wish to only look to the future we want to share his history and story so people know how incredibly resilient this little guy is.
Dow is around 5-6 momths old now but was originally surrendered to a local shelter as a very young pup in the midst of some pretty serious seizures. He was said to have gotten into some drain cleaner,
although the symptoms were more consistent with a possible head trauma. Dow was immediately given emergency vet care and placed in a temporary foster home through the shelter, where he flourished.
Dow has not had any further seizures since that initial time, and has gotten a clean bill of health from our vet, including bloodwork and preventative care. He does have some remmants of his young life though -
he is blind, or mostly blind, in his right eye and has some mild (and super cute) neurological quirks that cause him to high step a bit with his back legs. He was put in foster care with us for a few weeks as well, just to
give him time to grow and monitor him and he has only flourished. As an added bonus his ears have continued to grow and it just adds to his overall cute factor
Dow is now approximately 5-6 months old. He is some sort of mix and almost looks like someone stuck a pittie head on a basset body. As he grows he gets longer more than he gets taller!
HE loves humans and other dogs. He was previously fostered with cats and would just need slow introductions. He is a typical goofy, playful puppy who may want to chase to play.
Dow is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vet care including vaccinations and preventative care.
