My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sasha`s Compatability:
Dogs: Meet and Greet (but yes!)
Cats: TBD
Children: Yes

Meet Sasha, an 8 year old, brindle pitty mix with a gentle soul and wonderful manners. She came to the humane society through no fault of her own and she’s now hoping for a soft landing in a loving new home.

Sasha has lived successfully with other dogs and also previously lived with children ages 6 and 7 and did great with them, making her a nice candidate for a family looking for a calm, steady companion. Her history with cats is unknown, so any feline introductions would need to be done thoughtfully.

This sweet girl already has some great skills under her belt. She’s crate trained, does well for nail trims, and knows basic cues like “shake.” One of her standout traits is how gentle she is, especially when taking treats. She carefully accepts them with the softest mouth, which perfectly matches her overall demeanor.

Sasha also loves car rides and is happy to be your co-pilot, whether you’re heading out for errands or a relaxing drive. At her age, she’s past the chaos of puppyhood and ready to enjoy the simpler things in life: companionship, comfort, and being part of a family again.

More about this shelter

With an open admission policy, a No-Kill philosophy, and more than 3,100 animals crossing our threshold each year, we have still maintained a 98% placement rate over the last 3 years.

This is an amazing feat for any organization…let alone one that takes in some of the most abused, injured and seriously ill animals imaginable.
