Staff Observations 11/25: Kennel: Behavior When Approaching: Social/Attention Seeking – Dog seeks interaction, may wag tail, approach the gate, or show friendly interest Leashing / Unleashing: Easily Handled – Dog allows leash to be put on and removed with no difficulty; follows handler easily. Removing From / Returning to Kennel: Easily Guided/Handled – Dog enters and exits kennel willingly, follows handler direction. Sociability: Neutral/Aloof – Explores environment or stays nearby without actively seeking interaction Energy Level: High Energy – Very active, excitable, constantly moving or seeking stimulation
Dog Test 11/2: Per shelter tech pet is dog friendly, but dominant
Volunteer Observations 12/9: Kennel Behavior: Relaxed/Neutral: Calm, alert, not seeking attention, shows no stress or heightened arousal Leashing/Unleashing: Easily Handled: Allows leash to be put on and removed with no difficulty; follows handler easily Removing From / Returning to Kennel: Mildly Resistant: Hesitates or moves slowly; needs encouragement Sociability: Neutral/Aloof: Explores environment or strays nearby without actively seeking interaction Energy Level: Low Energy - Calm, relaxed, slow-moving, minimal activity Body Language: Loose/Soft Body Language: Relaxed posture, soft eyes, wagging tail
Volunteer Notes: Benji is a good boy who takes treats gently. He walks well on the leash and has the cutest little prance. He takes treats very gently, but still needs to learn the command to sit. He took care of some business and how to clean kennel. He was a super sweet, gentle boy. I bet the only reason he is still available is he is HW+
