Kitty and her sister, Leeli, were found by a good Samaritan in an area of town known for animal abandonment. The two sisters stayed close, relying on one another while still trusting this kind stranger to get them to safety. Good Catch Dog Rescue stepped in to help, and at just four months old, the girls entered foster care where they could receive veterinary care and begin their journey to finding forever homes.
Kitty currently weighs about 30 pounds and is the leggier of the two sisters. Confident and charismatic, she has a wonderful presence and an easygoing personality. She loves the other dogs in her foster home and would thrive with a canine companion in her forever home. This blonde beauty is expected to reach around 60 pounds when fully grown and, like most poodle mixes, will require regular grooming throughout her life.
Kitty is a smart girl who quickly picked up crate training and adjusted to her daily routine with ease. She adores her toys and takes treats very gently. Her laid-back nature and lack of “nippy” behavior tells us that she would do well in a home with children. Still very much a growing puppy, Kitty will need continued attention, structure, and enrichment as she matures.
An adopter who is home more often than not is preferred, as young puppies benefit from consistency and companionship. While Kitty is not overly energetic, she will do best in a home with a yard where she has space to explore and play. Apartment living is not a good fit for this fuzzy girl.
Kitty is doing wonderfully with housetraining and has not had any accidents in her foster home. She is let outside every few hours to support her progress. At night, she sleeps soundly in her crate and is already walking nicely on a leash.
We only use trusted transport providers to deliver our adopted fosters North.

We are very transparent with our applicants on all known traits of our dogs/puppies. From negatives to positives, health, behavioral and likes and dislikes. An adopter knows the dog they are adopting before they've even met them.

We are Jen and Lloyd Fairley. Our rescue is located in South Texas where there's a need for better legislation in animal welfare.
We've been saving dogs for almost 20 years, we just never put a name to it. Years of doctoring unknowns and scrambling to find sponsors or adopters for yet another stray soul, has led us here.
We are animal lovers who saw a need, and rather than exhaust our fellow rescues, we joined forces to battle in the war for the underdogs.
We continue to march towards freedom and forever for those abandoned and discarded.
Our dogs are fostered in a dog friendly environment. They are exposed to livestock and cats, and we can quickly determine their requirements with boundaries in a permanent home. They get daily outdoor exercise and sleep in cozy beds in their foster's homes at night. Each dog is spayed or neutered (if older than 6 months), vaccinated, heartworm and tick disease tested and on preventatives. Dogs over 12 months receive a ProHeart12 shot which provides 1 year of prevention to heartworm. We have an extensive deworming protocol and feed a good quality dog food.
Dogs are cat, dog, kid and fence tested before matching them with their humans.
We pride ourselves in being transparent.
We use trusted rescue transport partners to deliver our adopted dogs to their forever homes up North.
