Location: Wayside’s Canine Behavior Center – I`d love to show off all the cool things I’ve learned at Wayside! Please arrive at the shelter before 4pm on our open adoption days to meet me!
My Friends at Wayside say: - I am enrolled in Confidence College. This is a program for dogs to build confidence and learn that the world is not so scary. My adoption comes with a free 30-minute private training session. - I am from a puppy mill situation. I will likely need extra time to adjust to home life. Adopting me will be extremely rewarding, but I need time to learn. - I’m a shy dog and need someone willing to be patient with me. - Once I warm up, I love leaning in for pets and find comfort in being close to a person I trust. - I am eligible for a Slumber Pawty, a 7-10 day in-home trial period. Please visit our website for additional information.
My home needs are: - I need a home with kids 6 years old and older since I tend to be nervous around new people and loud noises. - A fenced yard is a must for me! I do not know how to walk on a leash, so I need a secure area to go out for potty breaks. - I must go to a home that already has another dog so they can show me the ropes. - Wayside recommends you bring your dog to meet me before adoption to ensure we can be buddies. - New people and things make me a little nervous. Wayside recommends that I have a low traffic home.
For my safety, I need to travel in a crate. I also need to go home on an anti-slip collar called a martingale collar. For your convenience, we sell them in our retail store, Whiskers and Wags.
