My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hashbrown 🐶🤎🤍

Just like his name, Hashbrown is a total comfort pup with a little extra sweetness mixed in. This handsome chocolate and white Aussie mix truly shines when he has a doggy friend by his side. A confident, brave buddy helps Hashbrown feel safe, learn new things, and be his very best self.

Hashbrown loves to play with his canine pals and is always up for a fun romp. He’s also a big fan of treats—crunchy, chewy, you name it—which makes him extra motivated to learn. While he’s still figuring out that leashes can actually be fun (not scary!), Hashbrown would do best with a fenced yard where he can explore and play comfortably as his confidence grows.

With patience, love, and a furry friend to show him the ropes, Hashbrown is ready to blossom into an amazing lifelong companion. 💕🐾

More about this rescue

A New Leash on Life has a goal of saving all the adoptable pets about to die in the municipal shelters of Alabama until we become a NO KILL state. We rescue, provide veterinary care, provide a foster home or adoption center spot, and find adopters who are good matches for homeless dogs and cats...AND horses, pigs, rabbits, and any other animal who needs our help. All animals are fully vetted, including spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, testing (HW for dogs, FIV/Felv for cats), and whatever else they need before adoption.
