My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi, I’m Zoro! I’m a friendly, eager-to-please guy who loves being around people. I’m dog friendly, leash trained, and potty trained, though I’m still working on keeping all four paws on the ground when I get excited.

I have medium to high energy and can adapt to different environments, so I’m happy to chill at home or join you for walks and playtime. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate companion who loves attention and wants to be by your side, I’d be thrilled to meet you.

I am currently located in Texas but am available for adoption in multiple states across the country. My out of state adoption fee is $750. This fee helps cover the cost of care while I was at the shelter AND the cost of transporting me home! This includes:
spay/neuter, if unaltered upon intake.
age-appropriate vaccinations during time in care.
a registered microchip if unchipped upon intake.
a heartworm test if over six months of age.
current flea/tick prevention during time in care.
3(+) broad spectrum deworming treatment.
any medical expenses while in care.
a health certificate for travel.
the cost of travel (drivers, gas, and vehicle maintenance if via our route, or up to $200 in crate rental fees if on another transporter’s route!)

Every adoption through the SPCA of Brazoria County also come with a PetSmart adoption kit, and some coupons for PetCo!

Our first meeting/interview for adoption occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call,

We finalize the adoption the morning of transportation via a texted link.

Additional adoption info

Step one: Complete the application. It is best to include as much information/detail as possible.

Step two: Schedule a call to discuss the LDA process. At the end of the call, you will receive a recap via email, as well as our long distance adoption contract. If you choose to move forward with the adoption, sign and return the contract!

Step three: Post for transportation options (this is all me!)

Step four: Process payment and finalize the adoption via a link texted to you the day of departure—I prefer to do this right before pups actually leave for two reasons: 1) the adoption fee is a lot of money to have dangling out there without a set arrival date and, 2) finalizing an animal's adoption processes them out of our system, which means we are unable to track vaccinations and medication.
