My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Currently fostered in: Ellicott City, MD

💛Meet Faren💛

Faren may have had a rough start to her life, but you would never know based on her demeanor. She is pure joy in dog-form, just incredibly happy to be included!

SOCIAL LIFE
She is good with dogs and cats after a slow, gentle introduction. Faren is fantastic with people, including strangers. She adores getting pets and is always up for a big snuggle.

ENERGY AND PERSONALITY
Faren is a big girl with balanced energy- always up for an adventure then ready to settle down for a warm nap! Faren enjoys playing with toys and loves a good snuggle in her humans bed. She's happy to accompany you anywhere. Faren loves showing off her big zoomies when she is excited.

SPECIAL TRAITS
Faren has the most adorable big brown puppy dog eyes and you can hear her happy tail wags a mile away. Her excited zoomies are absolutely hilarious to watch.

BEHAVIOR
Faren is a big fan of people-watching out of windows. She's very food motivated making her quick to learn. She may put some paws on the counter if she's particularly curious about what's going on up there- but it's not her fault she is excited about everything!

BEST HOME FIT
This sweet, sensitive girl has traveled a long road to get here- and now she's searching for her warm, gentle furever home. She will do the best with patient and present adopters who shower her with attention and show her that life gets to be easier (and cozier) from here on out!

VETERINARY CARE
Faren is up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed, microchipped, and receiving heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives along with routine parasite treatments.

MEET AND GREETS

We primarily rely on meet & greets for potential adopters. Approved adopters may meet adoptable animals at the home of the animal's foster, or possibly in the adopter's own home.

More about this rescue

Operation Paws for Homes, Inc. rescues dogs of all breeds and ages from high-kill shelters reducing the numbers being euthanized daily. We provide foster homes where they can get the love and attention needed before finding their forever homes. Our organization provides pet adoption services in Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, and parts of Southern Pennsylvania. Operation Paws for Homes, a 501(c)(3) organization, is 100% donor funded and could not save these dogs and fulfill their dreams of being united with their forever families, without the dedication of our incredible adopters, fosters, donors and volunteers. Sadly, without our help, all of these adoptable animals would face almost certain euthanasia - usually within days or hours of arriving at the shelter. Each year we take in hundreds of wonderful animals who were left at shelters by no fault of their own.
