My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Milo! ❤️🐾

Milo is a 5-year-old male Catahoula mix weighing about 60 pounds, and he’s truly one of a kind. With his striking red merle coat and stunning half blue, half brown eyes, Milo turns heads everywhere he goes.

Beyond his gorgeous looks, Milo is a very sweet, playful, and friendly boy. He loves to have fun, enjoys spending time with his people, and brings a happy, gentle energy wherever he goes. He’s affectionate without being overwhelming and would make a wonderful companion for an active family or individual.

❤️🐾 Milo is ready to find his forever home—a loving family who will appreciate his unique beauty, playful spirit, and big, sweet heart. Bring Milo home and let this handsome boy brighten your life!

Additional adoption info

You can view our available animals online or by visiting the shelter during regular business hours. Our knowledgeable and compassionate staff are here to guide you through the adoption process, which includes completing an application and having a conversation to ensure you’re fully informed and prepared to welcome a new pet into your home.

If you find an animal on our website that you’re interested in, we kindly ask that you visit the shelter to meet them in person before submitting your application. This helps ensure the best possible match for both you and the animal.

More about this shelter

The Gulf Coast Humane Society is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization dedicated to serving the animals and community of Southwest Florida. We receive no federal, state, or county funding, nor do we receive financial support from the Humane Society of the United States. Instead, our lifesaving work is made possible through the generosity of individual donations, grants, bequests, and community fundraising efforts.

As a no kill shelter, Gulf Coast Humane Society is committed to providing compassionate care for unwanted, neglected, and abandoned animals. We never euthanize due to space constraints or the length of time an animal has been in our care. Our mission is to give every animal the second chance they deserve in a safe and loving environment.
