Meet Delaney-- a wiggly, people-loving girl with a playful spark! Delaney makes a great first impression in her kennel with four paws on the floor, a loose wagging tail, and an enthusiastic hop up to the door to say hello. She might be a tiny bit timid at first, but don’t worry—she warms up fast, especially when treats are involved! Once comfortable, she happily seeks out attention and likes to stick close by to her people. On leash, Delaney is easy to get geared up and out of her kennel. She walks fairly well, though doorways can make her pause—nothing a little baby talk and a snack can’t fix! She’s very responsive to encouragement and clearly wants to do the right thing. Delaney showed great manners around other dogs, staying calm and non-reactive both in her kennel and while walking past others. She’s polite, composed, and ready to make friends. She’s not a big fan of tummy touches and prefers to keep things light and bouncy—she’ll happily hop away if something feels a bit too much for her. That playful bounce is part of her charm! Delaney is a fun, affectionate pup who loves attention, snacks, and gentle encouragement. With a little confidence-building and lots of love, she’s sure to be a joyful, tail-wagging companion ready to brighten your days

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Charlotte believes in working to improve our community by creating new, loving families, and building a world where there are no more homeless and unwanted animals. This is an ongoing process — for every animal we can connect with a new family, another animal in need comes to HSC’s shelter. As a private, 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the HSC relies on the generous support of animal lovers, grants, bequests, and fees for service.
HSC is not affiliated with any other animal welfare organizations and we do not receive government funding.
