History: Richie FKA Tigger is a super handsome puppy who was returned to rescue due to no fault of his own. He was welcomed to rescue from our Out of the Cold Rescue effort with littermates who appeared border collie-like but his breed combination is a best g guess. He is an A+ boy who hopes to find his forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: This sweet, steady little guy is doing wonderfully in his foster home and has the kind of temperament people dream of. He’s fully house-trained, sleeps through the night in his crate, and has a great foundation in basic obedience, including sit, down, and wait. He's very aware and watches our resident dog closely to follow his behavior.
He’s calm and gentle by nature and settles easily in a pen beside you while you work during the day. While he enjoys playtime and loves exploring the snow, one of his standout qualities is his patience. He can relax on his place bed at dinnertime for up to 30 minutes, no fussing or begging while the humans eat.
He’s food-motivated, which makes training a breeze. While he's been here, we've had contractors coming in and out of the house, and he doesn't bark even with numerous people coming and going. He happily greets new people, and everyone who meets him comments on how gentle, calm, and well-mannered he is.
This puppy is off to an amazing start and would be a wonderful fit for a home looking for a thoughtful, easygoing companion with great manners already in place.
