History: Tot is a super sweet boy who arrived to rescue in desperate need of a second chance. He is such a handsome and striking boy who is ready to meet his forever home soon!
A Note from the Foster: Meet Tot – The 4.8-Pound Peanut With Big Dreams and Even Bigger Confidence!
If you’re looking for a tiny pup with a big heart for adventure, look no further. At just 5 months old and 4.8 pounds, Tot is a Yorkie who lives life like he’s auditioning for “Puppy Ninja Warrior.” He may be pocket-sized, but he’s absolutely convinced he can leap off couches, climb playpen walls, and keep up with dogs twice (or three times!) his size.
But don’t worry—this brave little peanut also has a soft, sweet side and just needs a family willing to supervise some of his more “creative” ideas.
What’s to Love About This Tiny Adventurer:
• Great with kids (and all kinds of people)– He loves just about anyone! Just know that he may not realize when he’s about to get hurt… he has zero fear and 100% confidence, so an adult may need to help the kids keep him safe.
• Crate training champ-in-progress – He just started to sleep all night in his crate with no accidents and not wake anyone up. He also handled a workday in his crate like a pro, especially with his resident dog buddy crated nearby and calming dog music playing.
• Potty progress – He’s copying the resident dog and showing he knows exactly where the pee pad is and what it’s for.
• Grooming superstar – Bath, nail trim, face trim—he handled a full home grooming session without a single complaint.
• Energy level – Short bursts of running, cute little hops, toy play, and then lots of sniffing and exploring. He’s independent, but…
• A snuggler who wants to be near his people – When he’s done adventuring, he likes to rest close to his people and dog friends. Five feet away? Too far. One foot away? Perfect. He also loves being held.
• Sleep sounds and tiny tongue alert – He makes the most adorable, unique little noises in his sleep and when he whines. And sometimes his tiny tongue sticks out, which just adds to his charm.
• Car-ride approved – He rides well and takes travel in stride.
Also due to his young age, he will greatly benefit from a basic obedience course. In fact, this is required for all dogs younger than 2 years old.
Who He’s Looking For:
A family who loves a confident, silly, fearless pup—and who can gently steer him away from his “I can totally climb that!” decisions. He’s easy-going, sweet, and fun, but he’s still learning the limits of his tiny body and needs a home ready to keep him safe while he grows.
If you want a small dog — and you’re ready for endless entertainment, cuddles, and charm—Tot might just be your perfect match.
