Meet Mina, a 6-month-old female cat with a playful spirit and a sweet personality. Mina is friendly, active, and happiest when she’s playing—whether it’s chasing toys, exploring her space, or showing off her kitten energy. She has lived with other cats in the past, so she may do well in a home with feline companions. Mina may take a little time to adjust when she first arrives in a new environment, but once she’s comfortable, her true personality shines. When Mina settles in, she becomes a loving companion who enjoys being around her people and will happily be your best friend. #1- VISIT IN PERSON
Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You’ll be able to meet available cats in the shelter.
(Cats in foster care are not available for in-person visits.)
#2- ADOPT REMOTELY OR PLACE A 24-HOUR HOLD**
If you’re ready to adopt without meeting the cat first, or you’d like to place a non-refundable $25 hold to reserve a cat for 24 hours, just call or email us: (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours.
**Holds are not available on Saturdays and during adoption events.

All cat adoption fees include;
-spay/neuter
-rabies vaccine
-current distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian)
-FeLV/FIV blood test
-microchip implanted & registered to the adopter
-treatment of fleas/ticks/ear mites
-veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin
-free vet exam within 30 days after adoption with participating veterinarians
Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your new pet.
