Peanut Butter is a young beagle mix who is as sweet as they come. She loves people, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. Peanut Butter has lived with children and done well, and her gentle, affectionate nature makes her a lovely companion.
This snuggly girl adores cuddling and being close to her people. While she’s very loving, Peanut Butter can feel overwhelmed in overly busy or loud environments, so she would thrive best in a calmer, quieter home where she can relax and feel secure.
She will need help catching on to a housetraining routine, but she's eager to learn!

Ready to Adopt?
You have two options:
#1- VISIT IN PERSON
Come during our open adoption hours: Tuesday - Saturday,12:30 - 3:00pm. You’ll be able to meet available dogs in the shelter.
(Dogs in foster care are not available for in-person visits.)
#2- ADOPT REMOTELY OR PLACE A 24-HOUR HOLD**
If you’re ready to adopt without meeting the dog first, or you’d like to place a non-refundable $25 hold to reserve a dog for 24 hours, just call or email us: (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours.
**Holds are not available for puppies under six months, on Saturdays, or during adoption events.

All adult dog adoption fees include;
-spay/neuter
-rabies and kennel cough vaccinations
- heartworm test
-current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian)
-microchip implanted & registered to adopter
-treatment of fleas & ticks
-veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin
-free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians
Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
