My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Lizzy, a 1.5-year-old beauty with soulful eyes and a heart full of love 💕. With her soft, speckled coat and graceful frame, she might have some Australian Shepherd or Husky in her—though that’s just our best guess based on looks! What we do know is that Lizzy is pure sweetness wrapped in fur. She's dainty, gentle, and carries herself with a quiet elegance that instantly draws you in. 🐾

Lizzy has faced some hard days in her young life, found alone and starving while trying to survive on her own. Despite her rough past, she’s chosen love and trust—and she’s ready to blossom in a home where she’ll be cherished. She’s the kind of dog who leans into your hand when you pet her and looks at you like you're her whole world. Her soft spirit and loving nature make her a truly special companion 🌈.

Now that Lizzy is safe, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on her vaccines, she’s more than ready for her second chance. She dreams of a calm, cozy home where she never has to wonder when her next meal is coming or if she’ll be safe. If you’re looking for a kindhearted soul to share your life with, Lizzy just might be the one 💫.

More about this rescue

The vision of Animal Compassion Team has been years in the making, shaped by hard work, heartbreak, and an unwavering love for animals. Despite the challenges, we chose this path because saving lives matters—it's that simple. Every dog, cat, and animal we rescue reaffirms our commitment to making a difference. In August 2009, we took a leap of faith and became a 501(c)3 non-profit, ready to turn hope into action. Each life saved makes every effort worthwhile, and we look forward to sharing countless happy endings.

Our Mission Statement
To provide a safe haven for animals of all breeds and species through rescue, rehabilitation, adoption, and sanctuary. To advocate for humane treatment, promote the human-animal bond, and educate about kindness, compassion, and responsible pet ownership, emphasizing spaying and neutering. Together with other rescues and shelters, we strive toward a no-kill nation.
