My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

One half of me is yours, the other half yours, mine own, or, wait…what was my line again? Who cares! I’m Portia the kitten!

Portia might not have the attention span for Shakespeare, but she makes up for it in sass and cuteness. This loving, Tortie girl is one of six kittens named after famous Shakespeare characters.

ABOUT PORTIA
- In foster
- Portia is a silly, sweet, fun-loving kitten who loves to run, climb, and wrestle with her sisters.
- She is a brave girl who loves to explore new rooms and climb as high as she possibly can.
- Tortie cats are known across cultures as a symbol of good luck, often being referred to as “money cats.” Maybe she really is the star of the show!
- She adores playing, especially if there’s a string toy involved.
- Portia and her siblings are well socialized thanks to their loving foster home environment, and are quick to warm up to new people. Portia’s mom says she loves cuddles and belly rubs, and predicts she’s well on the path to becoming a lap cat.
- Kittens, like Portia, have lots of energy!
- Portia is spayed, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, and up to date on core vaccinations.

PORTIA’S IDEAL HOME
- It is important that Portia either go to a home where there is already a feline-friendly cat in residence, or be adopted with one of her siblings, or another compatible EHS cat.
- Kittens require ample and mindful stimulation, through play, from their humans.

Will you be the one to help Portia learn her lines (she’s already quite vocal!) and all the other important social skills she needs? If our Portia were in “Merchant of Venice” we think she would change the script to say, “don’t shop… adopt!”
