My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Diego, an 11-month-old Chihuahua mix from Kings County Animal Services who has a true heart of gold! This sweet dog is still building his confidence with new people but is a total sweetheart once he warms up. He loves his snacks and thrives with positive reinforcement.

Diego is looking for a patient and loving forever family that will help him continue to grow, build confidence, and embrace all the love he has to give! He wants people who understand that going slow will help him out and who will love him endlessly. Could he be your perfect match? Come meet him today!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1868, The SF SPCA is a community-supported nonprofit dedicated to saving, protecting and caring for cats and dogs. We do this through immediate care of animals that are homeless, ill or in need of an advocate, but we also work to educate the community, reduce the number of unwanted kittens and puppies through spaying/neutering, and improve the quality of life for animals and their companions.
