When available, all animals are fixed
in accordance with Colorado law, up to date on vaccines (may need boosters), and microchipped!
What we know: Transferred from Second Chance Dog Rescue in Snyder, TX, Mama Merry and her 9 puppies, 3 male / 5 female. Mom and pups surrendered to the shelter and have been there ever since.
*I should be ready for adoption on 12/27*
From the foster: Roadie (pup 901) boy is a gorgeous dude, with a twinkling blue eye, show-stopping speckled coat, a heart of gold, and the chompers of a baby landshark! Roadster is a happy boy who loves our two young children (but watch for the nibbles and have a solid chew toy handy!), adores our three large dogs, and is pretty easy going in general (aside from the puppy chomping bit). He and his littermates made their way with their mom out of a shelter to foster care and have been thriving in a comfy home environment. They sleep in a crate together and have a puppy pen for overnight potty. They do well using the newspaper and potty pads and keeping their crate clean and dry.
Roadie loves to follow you outside, but if you come back in, he'll beeline there too waiting to snuggle up. He's a big fan of beds, blankies, and soft fuzzy spots. Roadie is one of the cuddliest and most affectionate of his littermates and loves to be held and lick your chin, but again, watch for the occasional nibble. :)
Roadie's breed mix is as good as anyone's guess. His mom appears to be a pitty/hound (catahoula?) cross, and the shelter had them listed as lab mixes? It's a real grab bag situation, but we have no doubt whatever his genetic makeup, he's going to win hearts where ever he goes. If you're up for the challenge of guiding him to adulthood, armed with lots of free time for consistent positive training and daily walkies, come meet Roadie, the dog who proves that you can be both a professional snuggler and a "baby landshark" at the exact same time.
