Nina Alabama is a beautiful, gentle, girl - initially shy but very quick to trust and give you a tail wag and kiss. Due to overcrowding, Alabama was on the kill list at a Central Valley shelter, and we are so happy we were able to save her just in time.
If you are looking for a dog to be your loyal best friend, Alabama is your girl. Shepherds are very intelligent and love to work, and will quickly take to training and doing their best to please you. Alabama is also the perfect sized, small for a shepherd at 45 lbs.

Jelly's Place is a rescue and No-kill shelter founded in 2017 to be an advocate for the lives and dignity of urban animals who are homeless, abandoned, impounded, sick, or injured, by providing responsible care, placement, and community education. Its founder, Julie Bainbridge, has been rescuing and fostering animals since childhood. She has rescued, fostered, and /or raised all kinds of animals, including baby squirrels, raccoons, pigeons, chickens, geese, ducks, skunks (yes- skunks), wild and tropical birds, pigmey goats, mice, snakes, rabbits, dogs, and cats. Some animals are cared for by volunteers in their homes.
Jelly's Place is named in memory of her beloved English Bulldog who crossed over the Rainbow bridge in 2016. Jelly's Place is a 501 (3)(c) nonprofit organization and donations are tax deductible.
