My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Holiday is an approximately 2 year old Lab-mix. She is about 40lbs but we're working on her figure and think she should be around 35lbs ideally. She was found as a stray in New Mexico, and has spent almost a year in a shelter there waiting for a home. We are hoping she won't have to wait much longer.

Holiday is a very quiet and well behaved girl. She can be shy at first and doesn't like hands or objects coming at her head quickly, but as soon as you kneel down on her level and show her you want to be friends, she leans in for pets and attention and scoots closer and closer if you try to stop petting her. She would do best in a quieter home, without young kids. She is good with other dogs, leash-trained and kennel trained.

More about this rescue

At Wild West Pet Rescue and Transport, our mission is to relocate pets from the saturated areas of New Mexico, Arizona, and Utah, to areas where there are more opportunities for adoption. We provide safe, compassionate, and effective rescue and transportation services for animals in need. We strive to find loving homes for abandoned, neglected, or displaced pets, focusing on those most at risk of euthanasia and in need of medical care. Through collaboration with shelters, volunteers, and local organizations, we aim to reduce the number of homeless animals and advocate for their well-being.
