QUICK FACTS
Name: Roco
Age: 2 years old
Gender: Female (Spayed)
Breed: Mini Jindo, corgi mix
Color: White
Weight: 6kg / 13lbs
Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed
MY RESCUE STORY
I was rescued from a city pound in Pyeongtaek, South Korea, where I ended up alone and abandoned. Because the shelter was overcrowded, I was placed on the euthanasia list, simply due to lack of space. Thankfully, I was rescued in time and given a second chance. Now, I’m safe and ready to find my forever home where I can finally belong.
MY HEALTH
MY PERSONALITY
I’m a super sweet and adorable girl who absolutely loves people. I get along well with my dog friends, but at heart I’m truly a people’s dog and enjoy human company the most. I have a Jindo-style face with short legs, similar to a corgi, and during my photoshoot I happily cuddled into the arms of volunteers and staff—soaking up all the love I could get.
MY SOCIAL SKILLS
· With People: I absolutely love people and crave human attention. I’ll happily snuggle up in your arms, soak up pets, and enjoy being close to my humans. While I don’t have much experience with kids yet, my gentle and sweet nature suggests I would do well with dog-savvy children. I’m comfortable being picked up and love feeling safe and held.
· With Dogs: I get along well with my dog friends and enjoy greeting new canine buddies. I tend to do best with larger dogs and am generally friendly and social with them.
· With Cats: My reaction to cats is currently unknown, but a cat test can be arranged upon request to help ensure the best fit. With my sweet and gentle nature, I believe I could do well with dog-savvy cats given thoughtful, slow introductions.
ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY
I have a moderate energy level and enjoy getting a bit of outdoor time to run around and stretch my legs. After that, I’m perfectly happy to relax and snuggle up in my cozy corner, enjoying some quiet time close to my people.
TRAINING & HABITS
I don’t guard my food with people or other dogs and have a generally calm, easygoing temperament. I’m usually a quiet girl, though I may give a little attention bark when I want something—and my voice can be surprisingly loud for my petite size. I know how to rest calmly in my kennel, but if a person is nearby, I’ll politely paw at the door or wall to let you know I’d love to come out and be with you. I walk well on leash and do a great job following my handler’s lead.
MY IDEAL HOME
I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with:
SPECIAL NOTES
I’m considered a level 2 rescue dog, which means I’ll need a few days to about a week to feel more settled and comfortable in my new environment. During the early bonding period, it’s important that I’m double-leashed with both a harness and collar, along with a GPS tracker, to help keep me safe when outside. Volunteers and staff always smile when they meet me because I hop with excitement—it’s incredibly adorable and shows just how happy I am to see people. I’m an easygoing girl who gets along well with both dogs and humans and truly enjoys being around others.
