Meet Shaggy!
Shaggy is a 2-year-old, sweet little guy who weighs just 12 pounds and is a true bundle of love. If you look closely at his shelter photos, you’ll see just how dirty and uncomfortable he was when he arrived—poor Shaggy was not happy at all. He needed to be shaved down, and once that was done, you could tell he felt so much better. Now in his foster home, he’s comfortable, happier, and showing his true personality.
Shaggy enjoys staying close to his people and is always up for cozy snuggles. He appears to be house trained, does well spending time in his crate, and is good with other dogs, making him an easy companion in a multi-dog home. His gentle, affectionate nature makes him a wonderful fit for anyone looking for a small dog with a big heart.
Unfortunately, Shaggy did test heartworm positive and has already started the first step of treatment. The good news is that BCAA will cover the remainder of his heartworm treatment with one of our trusted vets, so his future family can focus on loving him while he heals.
Shaggy is ready for a fresh start and a home where he’ll never have to feel uncomfortable again—just loved. Bcaaofnj.org
