Meet Barkley! Barkley came to us as a stray, and we are still getting to know her. So far Barkley seems to be a pretty typical German Shepherd; he is energetic, vocal, and absolutely gorgeous! Barkley is hoping to find a family that will keep her busy, and won't mind her vocal nature. Barkley has done well with other dogs, but is a typical Shepherd so she likes to play police and may be a little bossy. If you have other animals in your home, we recommend bringing them in to do a meet and greet before taking Barkley home. OUR MISSION: It is the mission of the Fairfield County Dog Adoption Center & Shelter to provide an environment of continuous improvement; emphasizing excellent service and safety for the community; providing the dogs and people of Fairfield County protection, care, and compassion with innovative, yet sustainable means; all while maintaining a standard of the utmost integrity.
It is the purpose of the Fairfield County Dog Adoption Center and Shelter to embrace the dogs of the community; to keep lost or adoptable dogs safe until they can find their way home; to protect Fairfield County through the enforcement of Section 955 of the Ohio Revised Code , and to continue to provide the community with education opportunities on the importance of pet safety and population control.
