Meet Whisper Abby

Available through Tired Dog Rescue – Gulfport, MS

Whisper Abby is a gentle 12-year-old terrier Maltese girl weighing just 11 pounds, and she has the sweetest, quiet soul. Found as a stray, this precious senior is now safe and surrounded by care while she waits for a soft place to land.

Medical Update:

Whisper Abby recently had a recheck vet appointment on 1/5. Her bloodwork shows anemia (possibly from parasites or fleas) and elevated liver values, which may be related to past steroid use, arthritis, or possible Cushing’s disease. The good news? Her vet is hopeful that with TLC, improved nutrition, and time, her values may improve. She has started liver support medication and Liqui-Tinic, with another recheck planned in a couple of weeks.

Despite everything she’s been through, Whisper Abby remains calm, loving, and incredibly grateful for kindness. She would thrive in a quiet, loving home where she can enjoy her golden years feeling safe and cherished.

Our fees range from 75.00 to 450.00 depending on the age of the dog. They must submit an application and if the application sounds good then a home visit will be set up. We are very strict about what we look for on the home visit. If app and home visit are approved then we bring the dog for a meet and greet. All dogs are vaccinated, spayed/neutered and healthy before adoption. I do ask that the family update us frequently on the dog as we like to keep up with each and every pet we adopt out.

We LOVE dogs! We wish that we could help more than we do and hopefully someday we will expand and be able to do much more in our community to rescue and train dogs for placement and to educate the community about the importance of spay and neutering their pets and recruit more people to lend a hand.
