Here's what the humans have to say about me:
We are thrilled to introduce the new love of your life ...Phylliss! She knew a better life was waiting for her out there somewhere. so being a girl if action, she marched right up and perched on a porch so she could hitch a ride to the orphanage. Her ride arrived. A knight in a shiny truck. All her troubles are behind her now. She knew she would find her true love. And she wasn't about to waste one more minute waiting for it. She's a love bug in a dog suit. This little 35 pound nugget of delight is a thief for sure- Ready to steal your heart before you can say Phil- lissss!!! Compact couch potato seeks loving family to cater to her every need.
Chores? Yes, she can help out with chores... 🧹She will walk the dust right off your floors as she escorts you everywhere you go. 🧺she will get your clothes nice and wet with all of her kisses. 👚She will also lay on you clean clothes to place her scent on you! 🥌Ironing? yup, the Phyllis press is ready to get right to work. Of course she prefers to press the clothes you're wearing. Ready to never leave your side- she might miss something. 🧽She will absorb all the negative energy surrounding you and replace it will pawsitive love bubbles. 🛌She will hold down the furniture. Making sure the pillows stay just where you placed them. Under her head. 📺She doesn't juggle, or knit yet but she will help you decide what tv shows to watch. She's Low energy except when she wants your love and affection then full steam ahead. Wherever you go ...she go too. 🍿Shes ready to prep your snacks for you, but she might need a stool to stand on to reach the counter. She is a volunteer favorite! 💕Such delicate charm and gentle personality. 💗Polite manners 🐾Easy walker-no trouble -except when you have to leave her and break her heart. Pawfect emotional support animal -she supports your emotions bringing comfort to you and in turn you will fill up her big heart. Come and meet this cute dumpling! She's super sweet and ready to keep your lap warm and snuggle into the winter season. She really is the best friend you have been waiting for.

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Wicomico County was started in 1968 by a group of people who wanted to help improve the lives of animals. We have come a long way in our 40+ years! We have a staff dedicated to making sure the animals that come to our doors are loved and protected as they wait for their forever home. Not only are our animals vaccinated, wormed and given flea preventative, we can treat animals that come to us with mange, ringworm, heartworm and pay for animals to be seen by an outside vet should there be a need. We have an on-site spay/neuter clinic that not only is used for our animals but we also offer low cost spay/neuter for animals of the public. We provide emergency boarding for victims of domestic abuse, fire, and medical emergencies. We also have the capability to set up an off-site emergency shelter for people evacuated from their homes. In addition, we have an education program to help teach kids about being a responsible pet guardian. We work with a wide range of rescue groups and our animals have been transported from our mid-Atlantic area throughout the North Eastern United States. Our shelter is an open admission shelter and we will take in approximately 3500 animals this year. We do what we do because of our love for animals and our desire to make a difference in their lives every single day.
