Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Name: LolA🖤 Age: 8 years young Height: 5'2" if you count the ear. Just the one. Other ear not taken care of to well in the past. Smooshed down. But I hear just fine! Adds to my charm. Location: Currently crashing at HSWC bunk and breakfast (but open to moving in with the right person- hopefully with my bff Gizmo)
About Me: Tall, dark, and beautiful! Low-maintenance kind of gal. I'm a nervous Nelly here. I'm probably more confident in my own quiet home. I'm a wanna-be-with -you -all -the-time (once I know you) gal. Medium energy. I can strongpull to go visit places I think have my people in there. I'm neat in my kennel.
What I'm Looking For: Someone who appreciates the simple things: quiet evenings, solid routines, and the unmatched joy of a nice sunset and Back scratches.
I like my peace and prefer to keep the drama on TV, not in my house.
If you like sweet companionship soulful eyes, and a gal that will be loyal, by your side through thick and thin, we might just be a perfect match.
Background: Lived with my companions. My bff Gizmo -whom I adore. And my 2-legger hooman that sent us here. We couldn't stay there anymore. We miss our hooman. We are in separate bunks which is scary. We be very happy when we see each other in the play yards. I cry for my guy. I don't like the noise here. I want to get far away. I am nervous at first, but warm up when you go slow with me. New things take me time to adjust to. Strangers approaching in hats can be scary sometimes. I'm not the jump in your lap right away gal. Let's chat, get to know each other. Then I will be all over you. I love affection, I love being with Gizmo. This forever home they keep talking about... I hope I can go there with him. That would be pawfect. I did my tests well. 🟢Ok timid with cats. 🟢I'm ok with my boyfriend Gizmo. Any other sibling match ups will require a staff guided meet and greet to determine compatibility. 🟡🟢timid with new people. Go slow. Kids 10+ would be best. 54 pounds. Come and meet me soon. I'm the best friend you've been looking for❤️ Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Weight: 53.4 Age: 8yrs 7mths 0wks

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Wicomico County was started in 1968 by a group of people who wanted to help improve the lives of animals. We have come a long way in our 40+ years! We have a staff dedicated to making sure the animals that come to our doors are loved and protected as they wait for their forever home. Not only are our animals vaccinated, wormed and given flea preventative, we can treat animals that come to us with mange, ringworm, heartworm and pay for animals to be seen by an outside vet should there be a need. We have an on-site spay/neuter clinic that not only is used for our animals but we also offer low cost spay/neuter for animals of the public. We provide emergency boarding for victims of domestic abuse, fire, and medical emergencies. We also have the capability to set up an off-site emergency shelter for people evacuated from their homes. In addition, we have an education program to help teach kids about being a responsible pet guardian. We work with a wide range of rescue groups and our animals have been transported from our mid-Atlantic area throughout the North Eastern United States. Our shelter is an open admission shelter and we will take in approximately 3500 animals this year. We do what we do because of our love for animals and our desire to make a difference in their lives every single day.
