Legs , tall , lanky, 12.5 pounds. we are thinking is an Italian greyhound Chihuahua mix. He has the coloring pattern and athleticism of an Italian greyhound and the machismo of the Chihuahua.
He loves attention, is not shy, adores people and is affectionate but also has a good bit of energy and needs plenty of exercise and play time. Walks etc. he jumps a lot and we are working on his down and sit.
Legs is an incredibly fast learner. He walks well on leash and is not barky.
He is a very intelligent dog, but he does need some training and continued reminders of not jumping on people, walking nice on leash , etc. he just gets overly excited and forgets his manners sometimes. Legs is a highly trainable dog and with the right person can be an excellent companion.
Maybe even some agility work if one wanted to go that far.
Legs is a confident dog , but this does get him in trouble sometimes with other male dominant dogs.
He is with several other dogs here at the Rescue and gets along fine with them but does the best with the easy going dogs and he is also friends with an alpha female that puts him in his place 🙂.
Sometimes the initial meet and greets are a little choppy with new more dominant males because Legs is the type of dog that just gets right up in everyone’s face and some dogs just don’t like that.
He does play well and shares his space, he does not have dog aggression he is just that guy at the party that doesn’t care if he gets punched in the face 😂
He is also very curious of the cats but won’t hurt them, he will though probably annoy them so dog savvy cats are fine, cats that run scared probably not the best because his little menace self will chase them.
He also does well with kids but again he needs work on the jumping.
He is a gorgeous , fun , silly and loving boy. He certainly will get a lot of attention. He is a great dog to bring out and about and on adventures. He loves walks. And he likes toys a lot. He is a great boy and will be a good fit for that family that is just right for him 🙂

Approve Application
We will approve your application by calling your vet and your personal reference. Once you have been approved, it's time choose your pet!

Pay Fee
Payment can be done by e-transfer to txcrcanada@gmail.com

Take the Pet Home
Once your payment is confirmed, we will confirm your Transport Date with you, the day your new family member will arrive in Canada.
