Gertrude is an 8 year-old lady who weighs around 67 lbs. If you're looking for an easygoing, mellow companion, Gertrude might be your girl!
Gertrude's foster family says that she opens her heart to new people immediately and always greets people with a wagging tail and an eager kiss. She is happy with a few short walks per day. She knows lots of commands and rides well in the car.
Gertrude LOVES toys. She is house trained and has been doing well on leash. Gertrude generally does well with other dogs her size, but would likely do best as the only dog in the home. Gertrude does have a strong prey drive and should not be in a home with cats or other small animals.
Gertrude's adoption fee has been sponsored by a generous donor.

Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue dog! Whether you adopt from Rocket Dog or another rescue group, the fact is you will save a life. Adopting a rescued animal is a lifetime commitment! The first step in our adoption process is completing an adoption questionnaire here: https://www.rocketdogrescue.org/adopt/adoption-application/
From there, you will be contacted by a volunteer to talk more about what you're looking for and if the dog you're interested in might be a good fit.
