My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This cutie is Jonagold Apple. We think he may be a Catahoula Leopard / Miniature Pinscher and possibly even some Chihuahua mix, but with rescue it’s a guess! His estimated birthday is June 1, 2025 and his current weight is 13 lbs.

Watch Jona Gold's playful personality here: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=LbipR6-dHLk&feature=youtu.be

Jonagold, a happy, playful, and incredibly snuggly boy that will surely steal your heart! He has a happy and affectionate personality, making him a super friendly boy with an outgoing puppy personality. He is the most loving puppy and a confident boy. He loves to explore the outdoors and is the perfect companion for any backyard adventure. He will thrive in a home with a securely fenced backyard where he can have his own space, and enjoy beautiful days basking in the sun.

Jonagold is curious about everything and loves to spend time with his humans and learning new skills. He has all the breeds that are known to have a gentle temperament and are highly intelligent.

Jonagold is quite the character, with a true love for life! He loves his toys and will spend his time playing and keeping himself busy while you are working or taking care of things around the house. He has an affectionate nature and is an expert cuddler who would love to curl up with you on the couch for movie night.

Jonagold's dream home would be filled with love, laughter, and a few tasty treats. His dream home would also have a securely fenced backyard where he can safely play and run outside. He is great with humans of all ages and other furry friends,

Jonagold is your guy if you're looking for a loving boy who brings joy, comfort, and lots of tail wags into your home! Enjoy the chance to welcome this charming and lovable boy into your family. He is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Jonagold has mastered potty training so his new family will need to continue with potty/crate training and daily exercise.

You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend!

At our 2 acre Texas based property, we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group training and socialization play groups helping them stay confident, well rounded, and adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers are dedicated to each dog’s growth and we enjoy seeing their progress!

We go above and beyond to ensure every animal receives exceptional care. Veterinarians consistently praise our medical standards. From routine care to advanced treatments, each dog receives personalized attention. Hard costs for a healthy dog range from $804-$920; heartworm-positive dogs or those needing specialized care can exceed $2,000+. Adoption fees help cover a portion of these expenses, but without government funding, we rely on fundraising to bridge the gap—ranging from $100–$1,000+ per dog.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.

It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:
