My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bodie! Bodie is a young energetic dog that is ready for his loving forever home! Bodie is still a puppy so a home that can provide him with lots of activity and enrichment will be important. He enjoys playing with toys, other dogs, and people. Bodie is very outgoing and friendly. Bodie will need regular trips to the groomers to make sure he fells his best. Since he is a mixed breed dog, we can't guarantee that he is hypo-allergenic.

Bodie is looking for a home that will help him as he continues to learn. Bodie has not had an ideal start to his life, so a home that will help him as he continues to learn basic manners. A home that can provide Bodie with structure, patience, and positive reinforcement training would suit him.

Bodie is in foster and not available for drop-in viewing.

If Bodie sounds like the right fit for your home, please fill in an application below!

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
