Meet Arlo!

Arlo is a sweet Terrier mix, about 9 months old and weighing between 15–20 pounds. Despite a rough start, Arlo hasn’t let his past define him. He was found running loose in a nearby town and brought to us by a kind neighbor after repeated attempts to return him were unsuccessful. Sadly, his previous owners never came looking for him—but Arlo is ready to move forward and find a family who truly values him.

Arlo walks nicely on a leash and appears to be crate trained. He has shown no issues with people, other dogs, or children, making him a wonderful candidate for many types of homes. Friendly, adaptable, and full of young-dog charm, Arlo is ready to leave his past behind and start fresh with a loving forever family.

If your application is chosen and approved we will setup a meet and greet with the pet. You will hear back regardless if chosen or not.

We place the dogs in the best home not the first home. Please be patient while we go over all apps and we will be in touch.

We are foster based. You must apply on Crossyourpaws.com first. If your application is chosen as the best fit for the dog we will move forward with the approval process. Once approved you will be setup with a time to meet the dog. Our dogs are all over the greater Pittsburgh area.

Here at Cross Your Paws Rescue, we are driven by a single goal; to save lives. We are doing our part in making the world a better place for all pets. Our decision to start a rescue is not one that we have taken lightly, it has come after years of volunteer work with other groups. Our goal is to make this world a place where starving, abused animals is a thing of the past. That shelters filled with dogs and cats waiting to be euthanized is unheard of. We want euthanasia to be something to help pets on their way to the Rainbow bridge not to end lives because of overpopulation. We vow to save every life that we can.
