My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bayou

Bayou is a stunning Shepherd/Husky/Australian Shepherd mix who will be turning 3 years old in March—and he truly loves everyone. Men, women, strangers… Bayou has yet to meet a person he doesn’t adore.

He’s incredibly dog-friendly, with a special soft spot for little dogs. While he may need a bit of guidance and continued manners around cats, he’s patient, gentle, and eager to please. Bayou is also extremely kid-friendly and will happily follow children around all day like their devoted shadow.

Bayou thrives on companionship and can feel anxious when left alone, so he’ll do best in a home with structure and plenty of interaction—ideally with someone who works from home or has a flexible schedule. An active home with a fenced yard would be perfect, as he loves to run, play, and stretch his legs.

This handsome guy is smart, too! Bayou knows several tricks and has an impressively patient “wait.” He’s also wonderfully goofy and adorably clumsy, guaranteed to keep you laughing every single day.

When playtime is over, Bayou is all about the cuddles. He’ll happily nose-dive into your chest, demand pets, and snuggle his way to sleep right by your side.

One of his favorite adventures? The beach! Bayou absolutely loves getting sandy, running free, and soaking up all the fun.

If you’re looking for a loving, loyal, affectionate companion who brings joy, laughter, and endless cuddles, Bayou might just be your perfect match.
